Description Indication: Beoptic is indicated for the treatment of elevated intraocular pressure (IOP) in patients with chronic open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension. Dosage: The typical dosage is one drop of Betoptic S (0.25% suspension) in the affected eye(s) twice daily. It is important to shake the bottle well before use. Side Effects: Common side effects may include temporary stinging or discomfort in the eye, watery or dry eyes, itchiness, redness, blured vision, the sensation of something being in the eye, headache, trouble sleeping or dizziness. Serious side effects can occur and should be reported to a doctor immediately such as eye pain, swelling, discharge, vision changes, increased sensitivity to light or systemic effects like swelling of the ankles, slow or irregular heartbeat, muscle weaking and mental or mood changes. Precautions: Before using Betoptic, remove contact lenses and wait at least 15 minutes before reinserting them. Avoid touching the dropper tip to any surface to prevent contamination. If using other eye medications, wait at least 10 minutes before applying them.
