Description Indication Acirab is indicated for: Short-term treatment (4-8 weeks) for healing and symptomatic relief of erosive or ulcerative gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). Maintenance of healing and reducing relapse rates of heartburn symptoms in patients with GERD. Treatment of duodenal ulcers. Long-term treatment of pathological hypersecretory conditions, such as Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome. Eradication of H. pylori in combination with appropriate antibiotics. Dosage The typical dosage for adults is: Erosive or ulcerative GERD: 20 mg once daily for 4-8 weeks. Maintenance of healing: 10-20 mg once daily. Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome: Starting dose is 60 mg once daily, which may be increased to 120 mg/day based on individual patient needs. H. pylori eradication: 20 mg once daily in the morning. Side Effects Common side effects may include: Nausea Headache Diarrhea Stomach pain Dry mouth Dizziness Constipation Gas Precautions Pregnancy and Breastfeeding: Use with caution and consult a healthcare provider.
